Cross-Agency Provider Requests
Cross-Agency Requests allow agencies to share providers with each other. When a provider is already affiliated with another agency and you want to work with them, you submit an outgoing sharing request. Likewise, other agencies may request access to providers in your network, which appear as incoming requests.
Accessing Requests
Go to Providers > Requests in the left navigation of your Agency portal. The page displays two tabs: Incoming and Outgoing.
Submitting an Outgoing Request
To request access to a provider affiliated with another agency:
- Find the provider in Providers > Explore.
- Open their profile.
- Click Request Sharing (shown instead of Invite to Agency when the provider is already with another agency).
- The request appears in your Outgoing tab while it awaits approval.
The other agency receives a notification and can approve or decline the request from their own Incoming tab.
Managing Incoming Requests
When another agency requests access to one of your providers, the request appears in your Incoming tab. You can:
- Approve — The requesting agency gains access to schedule and refer that provider. The provider remains in your network and is now shared.
- Decline — The requesting agency is notified and the request is closed.
How Sharing Works
Provider sharing is non-exclusive — approving a cross-agency request does not remove the provider from your network. The provider continues to work with your agency while also being accessible to the requesting agency. The provider is visible to both agencies under their respective My Providers lists.
Providers can see which agencies they are associated with from their own portal settings.
Revoking a Sharing Arrangement
To end a cross-agency sharing arrangement, find the provider in your My Providers list and remove the shared agency's access from their record. The other agency will be notified and the provider will no longer appear in their network.
